Nick's racing career began in 1998 at age 16.  Nick started in the Street Stock division at Fonda Speedway.  In 1999 the Street Stock division was renamed the Pro Stock Division.  His interest in racing started as a spectator at a young age.  Nick's interest was immediately focused on the then Street Stock division.  Even at a young age Nick was able to pick the winners by watching the cars in the warm ups and picking the best handling car of the day.

     Kenny Martin, two-time track champion, was a driver that Nick kept his eye on and eventually bought Ken's racecar to start his own career.
